London, 25 January 2021: Planet Tracker is strengthening its research team with the immediate appointment of Catherine Tubb Ph.D. as Senior Investment Analyst, to support the think tank’s fast growing textiles programme.
Catherine, who holds a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Cambridge University, joins Planet tracker from RETHINKX, where she has worked for the last three years as Senior Research Analyst, in particular co-authoring the report “Rethinking Food and Agriculture 2020-2030 – The Second Domestication of Plants and Animals, the Disruption of the Cow, and the Collapse of Industrial Livestock Farming” published in September 2019. The report involved identifying and understanding the key technologies in the alternative protein space and is regarded by many investors as required reading.
Prior to her role at RETHINKX, Catherine was a Senior Equity Research Associate at Sanford Bernstein, working on a variety of teams in the financial equity research space, including a spell in the European Luxury Goods team.
“Catherine brings an impressive blend of scientific and financial experience to the team at Planet Tracker”, said CEO Robin Millington. “Combined with her research background, she will help us to expand our work on the global textiles industry which began in 2020 with the publication of our first textiles report on the wet processing sector”.
A keen sportswoman, Catherine obtained a Cambridge Blue in Boxing and a Half-Blue in Rugby.

About Planet Tracker
Planet Tracker is a non-profit financial think tank aligning capital markets with planetary boundaries. It was created to investigate the risk of market failure related to environmental limits. This investigation is primarily for the investor community where environmental limits, other than climate change, are often not aligned with investor capital. Planet Tracker generates breakthrough analytics to redefine how financial and environmental data interact with the aim of changing the practices of financial decision makers to help avoid both environmental failure and financial collapse.
